SUMMARY

In this article the starting-points of the client-centered approach are related to the philosophy of Rorty, to his idea of pragmatism, hermeneutics and morality. These starting-points turn out to be still up-to-date. In a time in which client-centered thinking is under pressure, it remains important to stick to these starting-points.
